Kids mode for under-13s
Kids mode is a small, separate area of Simply Mindfull Moments with playful breathing, a tap-only feelings check-in, calm-down games and a bedtime wind-down. It is designed so that we collect no personal information from your child at all.
Our promises to you
- • We do not collect any personal information from your child. Nothing they tap or do in kids mode is sent to us.
- • There is no child account and no child login. Kids mode unlocks on one device with a code you enter yourself.
- • No ads, no tracking, no personalisation, and no third-party scripts run in the kids area.
- • No feed, no messaging, no other users, and no shop or payments are reachable from kids mode.
- • You can revoke consent at any time in your account. The kids area locks again straight away on next use.
Parental consent notice (version 2026-08-23)
Who we are. Simply Mindfull Moments is a self-care app operated in the United States. Kids mode is offered to children under 13 only with the consent of a parent or legal guardian.
What we collect from your child. Nothing. No name beyond the first name you type into your own account, no email, no age beyond the birth year you enter, no device identifiers used for tracking, no activity records, and no free-text entries. There is no child login and no child account. Everything your child taps in kids mode happens on the device and is never transmitted to us.
What we store against your account. Your consent record: your child's first name and birth year as you typed them, the date and version of this notice you agreed to, and the one-time unlock code we generate. That record exists so we can show you what you consented to and let you withdraw it.
How consent is verified. Only a signed-in adult with a confirmed email address can turn kids mode on, and the unlock code must then be entered by that adult on the child's device. We never accept consent from the child.
Third parties. We do not share anything about your child with anyone, because there is nothing to share. No advertising, analytics, or personalisation services run in the kids area.
Your rights. You may review your consent record, ask us to delete it, and withdraw consent at any time from your account page. Withdrawing consent locks the kids area again. You can also contact us through the privacy requests page.
Turning it on
- 1. Sign in and open the parental dashboard, then find the kids mode panel.
- 2. Enter your child's first name and birth year and confirm this consent notice.
- 3. Copy the code we generate. It works once and expires in 14 days.
- 4. On your child's device, open /kids/unlock and enter the code yourself.
- 5. The kids area then opens on that device.

Kids mode is support, not treatment. It does not diagnose anything and does not replace a counsellor, doctor or therapist. If your child is in danger, use the crisis support page or your local emergency number. For ages 13 to 17, see teen mode.
